2023 was a long and quite a wet growing season, this led to low tannins and fruit forward grapes, this meant that we enhanced the fruit whilst lowering the tannins, meaning gentle extraction of colour and a long slow fermentation, following fermentation we matured this wine in stainless steel to magnify its fruit qualities – this has led to a light red wine style that is in a class of its own, easy drinking, no nonsense delicious cross over wine ideal for 6pm on a Friday evening!

Serve – lightly chilled

Aroma – hedgerow jam and blackcurrants

Taste – red fruit, blackberries

Food pair – rare steak, charcuterie, bbq, lamb curry
